Our adult group lessons are designed for all levels, from complete beginners finding their feet on the piste to experienced skiers and snowboarders looking to explore more challenging terrain. Whatever your goals, our instructors will help you build confidence, improve your technique and make the most of the mountain.

We know the difference a small group can make. With fewer skiers to look after, our highly qualified Oxyski instructors can give everyone more individual attention, adapting their teaching to help you build confidence and progress at your own pace. Smaller groups also mean less waiting around, easier movement around the mountain and more time spent skiing.

The right group for you.
At the start of your first lesson, your instructor will check your level and adjust the group if needed. Our priority is to make sure you’re skiing or snowboarding with others of a similar ability, so you can progress with confidence and enjoy every moment on the slopes.
Best for beginners.
Everyone starts somewhere. If you’re completely new to skiing, our instructors will help you build confidence, learn the basics and develop your technique at a pace that feels right for you. With clear guidance, plenty of encouragement and a relaxed approach, you’ll soon feel more comfortable on the slopes and ready to take your next step.
In Méribel: morning or afternoon options are available depending on the resort and the week you are visiting.

How to choose the right level.
Use our Level Finder to choose the level that best matches your ability. Don’t worry if you’re not completely sure - at the first session, your instructor will check your level and move you to another group if needed. Still unsure? Contact the ski resort directly and our Oxyski team will help point you in the right direction. Take the level test.

Goal. First turns, flat-ground tricks and riding the lifts on your own.

Private lesson
Take your skiing or snowboarding to the next level with a private lesson tailored to you. Available across all disciplines and in all our resorts in the French Alps.

Choose between a one-hour, two-hour or half-day session, either one-to-one or shared with a brother, sister or friend. They’re ideal for a gentle introduction, boosting confidence, working through a tricky step or simply making the most of your time on the slopes.

Freestyle skiing or snowboardingTurn the mountain into your playground. Freestyle is all about creativity, confidence and control. Steep & Deep
Adaptive skiingMaking snowsports accessible to everyone.
Tandem SkiTandem skiing lets you experience the slopes from the comfort of a specially adapted sit-ski, with an Oxyski instructor in control. Sit back, take in the views and enjoy the feeling of gliding through the mountains without having to ski yourself.

What is included
Your lesson with a dedicated Oxyski instructor.
What to bring
A helmet, a lift pass for the ski area, gloves, goggles and sun cream. Skis, snowboards and boots can be rented from one of our equipment hire partners in your resort.
I have never skied before, is it too late?
No. Our Discovery level is designed for complete beginners who have never skied before. You’ll be learning alongside others who are starting from the same place.
How do I choose my level?
Choose the level that best matches your ability today. At the first session, your instructor will check your level and move you to another group if needed, at no extra cost.
What is the beginner pack?
In some of our resorts, we offer a Beginner Pack that can include your lessons, equipment hire and lift pass. Booking everything together means you can benefit from a better-value package price.
My partner and I are not at the same level, can we ski in the same group?
If you and your partner are at different levels, you’ll each join the group that best matches your ability. Lessons can still take place at the same time and meeting point. If you’d prefer to ski together, a private lesson is the best option.
Do I need to be fit?
You don’t need to be particularly fit, but being reasonably active and ready for a few hours on the slopes will help you get the most from your lesson. Your instructor will adapt the pace and breaks to suit the group. If there’s anything you’d prefer to avoid, just let them know at the start of your first lesson.
What language are the lessons taught in?
French and English are available in every resort. Depending on the resort, lessons may also be available in Dutch, Italian or Spanish. Let us know your preferred language when you book.
