Choose the format that works for you, from shorter sessions to mornings, afternoons and full days, depending on the resort. Simply choose your discipline, session length and number of participants when you book. Your instructor will then tailor the lesson to your level, goals and pace.

Whether you want to learn or improve your technique in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowboarding or telemark, your private lesson can be shaped around what you want to achieve. Tell your instructor what you’d like to work on and they’ll adapt the session to help you make the most of your time on the mountain.

Our ski school meeting point is on the snowfront in Plagne Centre, just below the Colorado chairlift and above the Croq’Neige restaurant. Look out for the Oxyski flags, our instructors in blue jackets and, of course, plenty of smiles. Group lessons start at 10 am, giving you time to make the most of the first lifts and squeeze in a few runs before your lesson. After all, practice makes perfect.

What is included
Your lesson with an Oxyski instructor, with a programme tailored to your goals, preferences and needs from start to finish.
What to bring
Bring your own equipment and lift pass, suitable for the terrain planned for your lesson. Skis, snowboards and helmets can be hired from one of our Oxyski ski shops or one of our equipment rental partners.
How many people can join a private lesson?
Up to five people. Your instructor will choose terrain and adapt the lesson to suit everyone in the group.
From what age?
For anymore 2 years or older. In fact, private lessons are an ideal option for a child’s very first experience on snow.
How long should I book?
An hour is ideal for a young child or for working on one specific skill. A half-day gives you more time to make real progress, while a full day is perfect for exploring further afield.
Is there a minimum level?
No. Private lessons are suitable for every level, including complete beginners. Your instructor will adapt the session to your ability on the day.
Can we go off-piste in a private lesson?
Yes. Off-piste sessions are available from Level 4 or Ski d’Or, with the necessary safety equipment provided by the school.
What language is the lesson taught in?
French and English are available in every resort. Depending on the resort, lessons may also be available in Dutch, Italian or Spanish. Simply tell us your preferred language when you book.
