Discover the Oxygène Café in Tignes: coffee, homemade food & mountain vibes
If you’re looking for somewhere to grab a great coffee, enjoy a homemade lunch or simply take a break with a view, there’s a little spot in Tignes worth knowing about.

Meet Béatrice Davico, or Béa to her friends. Originally from Italy and a previous Oxyski instructor from Val d’Isère before she fell in love with Tignes after spending several summers here. And of course, it wasn’t long before she decided to make the resort her home for good.
Since summer 2021, Béa and her team have been welcoming locals, skiers and mountain lovers to the Oxygène Café - a cosy café, ski and snowboard school, equipment (and bike rental in the summer) shop all rolled into one.
And yes, there’s plenty of Italian influence too.
A proper Italian coffee
If you’re Italian, you know that coffee is serious business. So when Béa opened the café, there was no question that she wanted to serve a proper Italian coffee.
Her choice? Caffè Vergnano, an Italian brand with a strong focus on social and environmental responsibility. The company also launched its Women in Coffee programme in 2018, supporting projects designed to help women working in coffee-growing communities gain greater financial independence.
So whether you’re after a morning espresso before hitting the slopes or a cappuccino for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, you’re in safe hands.
Homemade food with a twist
Forget the usual mountain classics for a moment. You won’t find raclette, fondue and tartiflette here. Instead, Béa has created a menu based around fresh, homemade and flavour-packed food, with plenty of options for different diets and tastes.
Think colourful, comforting recipes with an Italian-inspired twist, including dishes suitable for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free diets, as well as options for meat lovers.
It’s the kind of place where you can stop for a quick lunch, enjoy a slice of cake and coffee, meet friends for an après-ski drink or simply pop in when you fancy something homemade.
And the best part? It’s all made on site by Béa and her team.
Good food starts with good ingredients
Béa is passionate about choosing products carefully, with a focus on quality, local suppliers and seasonal ingredients wherever possible.
That means the menu changes throughout the year, with different offerings for summer and winter. Juices, soft drinks, beers and bread are also sourced locally where possible.
The result is simple: good ingredients, homemade recipes and food that feels a little different from the usual mountain fare.
A cosy café with a mountain view
Step inside the Oxyski Café and you’ll immediately get the feeling that it’s more than just a place to grab a coffee. It’s warm, relaxed and welcoming - somewhere you can settle in after a morning on the slopes or escape the cold for a while.
And when the sun is out, head to the terrace. Grab a coffee, enjoy something sweet and take in the views across the surrounding peaks.
Just remember your sunglasses. Tignes sunshine can be serious!
