A 100% electric experience! Ready to try something different? Lightweight, quiet and fully electric, MoonBikes are a fun new way to experience the snow.

The activity.

Once the lifts close, head out with your guide onto a dedicated track in La Plagne and discover just how much fun these electric snow bikes can be. Easy to get to grips with and seriously good fun, it’s a completely different way to end your day on the mountain.

  • From sixteen.

    No skiing or motorbike experience, the instructor teaches you everything in five minutes.

  • An evening after closing.

    Departure from Plagne Centre or Belle Plagne, on tracks reserved for Moonbikes.

  • Silent and light.

    Fully electric, no engine noise, kind to the mountain.

The format and the length vary by resort: they are chosen at booking.

How it goes.

A small group, an instructor, and how a typical outing unfolds.

  1. Getting started

    Five minutes on the flat: throttle, brake, balance. The instructor sets up the bike and checks everyone is comfortable.

  2. The ride

    An hour on reserved tracks, in line behind the instructor. Bends are taken like on a bicycle, the motor pushes silently.

  3. The way back

    Back to the start by headlamp, the resort lights below. Helmet returned, smile kept.

  • What is included

    The Moonbike, the helmet and the headlamp. A briefing and hands-on start with an instructor. The guided ride on reserved tracks.

  • What to bring

    Your skis or snowboard, a helmet, a lift pass valid on the day, and warm clothing. Your resort's Ski Shop rents the rest.

  • The weather decides

    The outing is confirmed the day before by message. If the mountain says no, a new date in the week first, a refund otherwise.

  • If you have to cancel

    Free of charge up to 48 hours before the outing, then as per the terms and conditions.

What level do I need?

The required level, when there is one, is stated above. With no mention, the activity is open to all and the pace adapts to the group.

What if the weather turns?

The outing is confirmed the day before by message. If cancelled: a new date in the week first, a refund otherwise.

Do I need my own gear?

Specific gear is provided unless stated otherwise. Skis and helmet stay yours, or the Ski Shop's, bookable in the same basket.

Do I need to take lessons with you?

No. The activity is booked on its own, or in the same basket as your lessons and rental.
