Superluge.

3,2,1… SUPERLUGE! Get ready for the sled run of your life! 450 metres of vertical drop and 24 top-of-the-range sleds at the start: that’s the Superluge Derby. An hour and a half of pure pleasure.

The activity.

Race itinerary: we’ll meet up at 5pm at the Oxygène shop in Plagne Centre. We’ll leave in convoy to the start of the race. We will provide : superluge sledge, helmet, head torch, route guidance, hot chocolate or vin-chaud for arrival at the finish line, return transport to your hotel or chalet.

Extra information: meet at our Oxygène shop to collect your sledge and meet your Oxygène guide. Make sure you are wearing your ski or snowboard gear and winter boots (you are able to rent our snowboard boots if you do not have any). Also, do not forget your gloves as hands can get cold, and your goggles.

    With family or friends, no sliding experience needed.

  • Ninety minutes of descent.

    Meet at 5 pm at the shop, 450 metres of vertical drop, five kilometres of track.

  • Everything is provided.

    The sledge, the helmet, the headlamp, the hot drink and the shuttle back.

The format and the length vary by resort: they are chosen at booking.

How it goes.

A small group, an instructor, and how a typical outing unfolds.

  1. 5 pm

    Meet at the shop

    Ski clothes, gloves and goggles, snow boots on. Helmets and headlamps adjusted, then off in convoy to the top of the track.

  2. 5:30 pm

    The start

    Twenty-four sledges lined up, an instructor ahead to open. The first bends are taken gently, time to feel the sledge.

  3. 6 pm

    The descent

    Five kilometres and 450 metres of drop, in the light of the headlamps. You stop to laugh, to watch the resort light up below, and off again.

  4. 6:45 pm

    The bottom

    Hot chocolate for some, mulled wine for others, and the shuttle back to your chalet.

  • What is included

    The Superluge, the helmet and the headlamp. An instructor to lead the way. Hot chocolate or mulled wine at the bottom. The shuttle back.

  • What to bring

    Your skis or snowboard, a helmet, a lift pass valid on the day, and warm clothing. Your resort's Ski Shop rents the rest.

  • The weather decides

    The outing is confirmed the day before by message. If the mountain says no, a new date in the week first, a refund otherwise.

  • If you have to cancel

    Free of charge up to 48 hours before the outing, then as per the terms and conditions.

What level do I need?

The required level, when there is one, is stated above. With no mention, the activity is open to all and the pace adapts to the group.

What if the weather turns?

The outing is confirmed the day before by message. If cancelled: a new date in the week first, a refund otherwise.

Do I need my own gear?

Specific gear is provided unless stated otherwise. Skis and helmet stay yours, or the Ski Shop's, bookable in the same basket.

Do I need to take lessons with you?

No. The activity is booked on its own, or in the same basket as your lessons and rental.
